Lago Argentino is the largest freshwater lake in Argentina, located in Los Glaciares National Park in Patagonia. Famous for its stunning turquoise waters, the lake is fed by several glaciers, including the iconic Perito Moreno Glacier, making it a major attraction for visitors to the region. Spanning approximately 1,466 square kilometers (566 square miles), it’s a hub for boat tours, wildlife spotting, and panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and icebergs. Its proximity to El Calafate makes it a must-visit destination for travelers exploring Patagonia.
