In my opinion, Donner Memorial State Park has to be the prettiest place to go for a snowshoe hike right after a snow storm. Bring your camera for sure, as this location will make it on you Instagram feed for sure.

In the winter, the only parking is available for a small fee in the Donner Memorial State Park parking lot.
