The Donner Lake Rim Trail, located just outside of Truckee CA, is an awesome hiking and biking trail. Measuring 23 miles in length, the trail offers spectacular views of both Donner Lake and the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Along the route, bikers will experience technical single-track riding through the high country, while hikers have the opportunity to do a loop through the surrounding forests and meadows. Both hikers and bikers can also take a side trip into Johnson Canyon, where they can find shady aspen groves, wildlife, and gorgeous panoramas.
