Der Kochelsee liegt etwa 70 Kilometer südlich von München und bietet einige tolle Fotomotive. Besonders fotogen sind die Bootshäuser am Ostufer. Die bekannten Bootshäuser am Westufer sind leider einem Feuer zum Opfer gefallen.
