If you've seen my videos about the Parthenon you know ITS BUSY - these are my tips of how I get photos and visit the parthenon without being overwhelmed.
First - wear good shoes so you can hike to the top faster then others. Secondly - get there at 745am, the gates open at 8am. This way you're in line to be first to the top.
Then when you get there these are the two spots I love to take photos of. After you pass through the first walkway, through the columns you'll get your first glimpse of the parthenon. You will see lots of people taking pohtos to your right. Just go to the left (towards the exit) and you'll get the same column photo as my second one.
The second photo is on the other side of the Parthenon along the rope. There is usually a line for this spot but you can get the full view on 0.5x on an iPhone with a bit of room. Tell the person who is taking your photo to get closer to the ground so you can get the entire structure in view!
Aside from photo recommends I personally would recommend bringing a full water bottle up here and lots of patience as it gets very busy. I dont recommend joining the tour groups, they move fast and leave very little time to enjoy the sites. You can hire a tour outside the Parthenon for less money and ask them all the questions you have about the structures on top of the Acropolis.
There are bathrooms on top of the Parthenon and there is an elevator for handicap access. I am not very aware of all the details about the elevator, I just know it exists.
