The Arc de Triomf of Barcelona, Spain is an iconic landmark that stands tall over the area. This pink brick Neo-Mudéjar structure was built by Architect Josep Villaseca in 1888 to serve as the main gateway for that year's World Fairs. There are two intriguing sculptures on either side of the arch- on one end 'Barcelona welcomes the nations' by Josep Reynés and on the other side 'Recompense' by Josep Llimona, which depict the Granting of Awards. Additionally, two pillars decorated with the emblem of King Jaume I mark the entrance. This stunning structure has become an important symbol and a must-see destination in Barcelona, representing its rich past, culture, and heritage.
