Nestled in the northern woodlands of Iceland, visitors can come and enjoy the new Forest Lagoon spa, designed by the same architects behind the popular Blue Lagoon and GeoSea spas. Located in Vaðlaskógur forest, near the capital city of Akureyri, this 1,300 square-meter facility has everything you need for a relaxing and luxurious spa day. With two 104 F infinity pools, a swim-up bar, cold pool, sauna, and bistro, the most notable feature is the Lagoon's integration with the surrounding rock and wooded environment, overlooking a breathtaking fjord vista. Inside, the use of cross-laminated timber gives a cozy and serene atmosphere, reminiscent of being amongst nature. All the water used is naturally sourced from the nearby mountainside, offering visitors an authentic and immersive experience. Opening by April this year, get ready to relax and rejuvenate with Forest Lagoon.
