Folaldafoss is an awe-inspiring waterfall located in eastern Iceland, off of the Öxi pass mountain road (Road 939). Surrounded by towering cliffs and winding roads, it offers a serene escape. To get to Folaldafoss waterfall, visitors can drive 7 hours from Reykjavík along Country Road 939, and when they reach the parking lot, an easy short hike awaits them. The mesmerising twenty meter tall waterfall and its adjacent cascade makes for a spectacular Icelandic scenery. Visitors can enjoy the peaceful environment or take some photos - but they must be careful! The paths are slippery, and the area can experience weather changes quickly so rain covers and proper shoe wear is recommended.
