Laugarvatnshellir Cave, located on the Lyngdalsheiði Heath in Iceland, is certainly a remarkable sight to behold. This cave has an interesting history, having been home to two families over a century ago. The young couple, Indriði Guðmundsson and Guðrún Kolbeinsdóttir, lived in the cave for 11 months while raising sheep in one of the caves. Jón Þorvarðarson and Vigdís Helgadóttir, the second family, moved into the caves and had three children during their four year stay.
