Hidden away along Iceland's Eastfjords near the Fáskrúðsfjörður fjord, the ghost village of Hafnarnes is a well-kept secret, offering an eerie and breathtaking experience like no other. Established in the late 19th century, the village consists of only four buildings that have survived to this day, alongside various infrastructure elements from former farms and agricultural facilities. One of the most impressive features of the village is Hafnarnes Lighthouse, standing out with its vivid orange colors amid an otherwise grassy wasteland. Constructed in 1912, it serves as a beacon for nearby vessels and offers spectacular ocean and fjord views. The overlooked village of Hafnarnes will provide a unique experience that should not be missed!
