Háifoss is a magnificent, 122 meter tall waterfall in the Þjórsárdalur Valley, Iceland. As the fifth tallest waterfall in Iceland, visitors come here to take in the stunning views of Háifoss and the neighboring Granni waterfalls. Getting to Háifoss requires a 7 km off-road drive on an unpaved road but it's well worth the experience. There are several other exciting destinations nearby that are great add-ons to this visit including Gjain Waterfall, Hjálparfoss Waterfall, Sigöldugljúfur and Landmannalaugar. A 4x4 is recommended for a safe, enjoyable journey. Visitors can expect to spend 15 to 30 minutes at Háifoss, but longer if they want to hike down to the base of the waterfall. At Háifoss, visitors will be able to observe the raw beauty of Iceland's nature at its finest.
