Filled with interesting architecture and stories, visitors should also take note of the wonderful Myndasafn where art pieces from various Iceland-based artists are proudly exhibited. Surrounded by scenic nature and everyday life experiences, Ásólfsskálakirkja is a must-visit for everyone looking to explore Iceland's southern land area. There is an interesting legend about this place and its first settlers, an Irish hermit called Ásólfur. His pagan neighbours kept pushing him away as they discovered he lived by streams full of fish, but the fish always followed him because it was a divine blessing.
