Stjórnarfoss is a small but spectacular waterfall nestled in the area called Kleifar, the ancient site of a local assembly, near the town of Kirkjubæjarklaustur of South Iceland. This hidden gem is surrounded by breathtaking natural landscapes, with tall volcanic rocks and green slopes that are sure to please any onlooker. The waterfall stands at 10-15 meters high and is quite wide, cascading down into a smaller pool below. Visitors love to take photos of the unique structure, or even to take a hike down the faint path nearby for an even closer view. There may not be many people around this secluded location, so visitors are able to enjoy the calming atmosphere and tranquil nature of Stjórnarfoss. It's definitely worth the stop!
