Helmcken Falls is a must-see scenic experience located on the Murtle River at the entrance to British Columbia's Wells Gray Provincial Park. It is the highest waterfall in the park and fifth highest in Canada, falling from an awe-inspiring 137 m drop. The falls were named after the prominent BC physician John Sebastian Helmcken in 1913 by Premier Sir Richard McBride. Visitors to the waterfalls will enjoy an eruption of rushing waters falling through lava-layered cliffs, which offer an incredible opportunity to see some of the best views of the region. This waterfall never fails to impress and promises a truly memorable experience!
