Elfin Lakes is a popular spot for outdoor activities like hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, and mountain biking in the beautiful Garibaldi Provincial Park near Squamish, British Columbia, Canada. The two lakes, once known as Crystal Lakes, are situated 1,600m above sea level with a 11km trail up, gaining 600m of elevation along the way. You can also camp close to the lake and there is a shelter where you can make food and stay the night. Make sure to book a backcountry reservation for Garibaldi Park on the BC Parks website. You can also reserve a spot at the cabin there.
There are numerous paths leading to other landmarks, including Opal Cone, Mamquam Lake, Columnar Peak, The Gargoyles, and Atwell Peak. Several campgrounds line the lakeside and a day-use shelter is located in Red Heather Meadows. Elfin Lakes is the perfect spot for adventure seekers looking to soak up nature's beauty in the Canadian wilderness.
