Mount Assiniboine is an iconic mountain on the Great Divide, a stunning and awe-inspiring peak that has been dubbed the "Matterhorn of Rockies". Located on the Alberta/British Columbia border in Canada, it reaches an impressive height of 3,618m (11,870ft). With its pyramidal peak, Mount Assiniboine offers spectacular views from the highest of summits. The first ascent to Mount Assiniboine was made by James Outram, Christian Bohren and Christian Hasler in 1901; since then it has attracted many visitors each year who are looking to experience breathtaking scenes of nature.
