The Kinsol Trestle, located on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, is a historic wooden railway trestle that spans the Koksilah River. Standing at 44 meters high and 188 meters long, it's the largest wooden trestle in the Commonwealth of Nations. Originally built to transport timber, the trestle fell into disrepair after the last train crossed it in 1979. Thanks to community efforts and a $5.7 million rehabilitation project, the trestle reopened in 2011 as part of the Trans-Canada Trail, offering visitors a scenic spot for walking, biking, and enjoying the stunning views of the surrounding area.
