Moraine Lake is an awe-inspiring natural wonder in Alberta, Canada. With its stunning azure blue water and surrounding mountain peaks, it has been Canada’s most photographed location. The lake's unique color comes from light refracting off of the rock flour deposited in the lake by surrounding glaciers. Visitors can hike along the popular Rockpile Trail to get a better view of the lake and take stunning photographs. There are also a number of mountaineering routes for climbers to explore, as well as canoe docks near the lake's lodge that offer opportunities for fun-filled days on the water. With all of these activities available, Moraine Lake is an unforgettable destination perfect for adventurers.
They canceled car access for the 2023 season so you will have to catch the shuttle to get to the lake.
