California is known for its wine. And despite Napa and Sonoma getting all the attention when it comes to having the best wines, there are actually a number of different wine regions all over California with wines that are just as good in our opinion. While we haven't stayed at all of them, that would require a lifetime, we have stayed at quite a few, and we put together a list of our favorites to help save you some time trying to figure out which ones to visit.

These 18 wineries, are our favorites and ones that we would happily revisit over and over again. We were members at a number of them when we were still living in California permanently. And many of them are places we revisit whenever we are in the area. Whether you prefer reds, whites, rosés or something bubbly, you will find something you like at each and every one of these places.
You will find that some of them are on the pricier side, but that is going to be expected when visiting wineries in and around Napa.
