Sidewinder Canyon, located in Death Valley National Park, is a rock-lovers paradise! This moderate 4.4 mile out and back trail is sure to please, with its three slot canyons that offer a variety of technical aspects and beautiful views. From exploring the dark spot of slot 1, to scrambling through rocky scrambles in slot 2, to finding two natural bridges/arches in slot 3, this hike has something for everyone. It is best experienced early in the morning before the sun hits the wash. Make sure you print out the description from the NPS site before heading out, and don’t forget to bring plenty of water as it can get hot along the sandy path!

Pet-friendly: No

Soft adventure: Definitely not. This is much more of a medium to challenging adventure.

Seasonality: All seasons, but we would not recommend going in the summer due to excessive heat.

Fee: Park entry fees change from season to season ($25-$30)
