West Cliff Drive in Santa Cruz, California is both a scenic coastal drive, and a 4.0 mile out-and-back trail with an elevation gain of only 68 ft. The great thing about this trail is that it is suitable for all ages and activity levels. It can be enjoyed by people going some walking, cycling, skating or just beach access. Visitors can admire the stunning views of the ocean while enjoying activities such as birdwatching, running, surfing, fishing, kite flying, or simply taking in the various wildlife. Some attractions along this trail are the lighthouse at the beginning, a beautiful beach spot in the middle, and Natural Bridges State Park. Dogs are also welcome, but must be on a leash. If you're looking for a pleasant and picturesque trail with plenty to offer, West Cliff Drive should definitely be your next destination!
