Burney Falls, known as the "Eighth Wonder of the World" by President Theodore Roosevelt, is one of northern California’s most spectacular waterfalls. Located within the McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park in Shasta County, California, this waterfall tumbles 129 feet and provides a beautiful and never-ending flow rate of 379 million liters of fresh water per day, even during the hot summer months. With its crystal clear pool below, the falls is a refreshing sight to behold-- perfect for swimming, or simply taking in the awe-inspiring beauty of the surrounding area. Whether you choose to explore from atop lookout point or below on trails, Burney Falls promises an unforgettable experience you won't soon forget.
