Point Reyes North Beach is a stunning stretch of coastline located within the Point Reyes National Seashore. It's known for its rugged beauty, with dramatic cliffs, pristine sands, and panoramic ocean views. The beach is part of the larger Point Reyes National Seashore, which is renowned for its natural beauty and diverse ecosystems. The area around North Beach is rich in wildlife. Visitors may spot various bird species, including shorebirds, seabirds, and sometimes even migratory birds. Marine mammals like seals and sea lions are also occasionally seen along the shoreline.

North Beach is a great spot for beachcombing, picnicking, wildlife watching, and photography. However, swimming and surfing are generally not recommended due to strong currents, cold water temperatures, and potential hazards. If you're looking for other activities to do nearby, make sure to include the iconic Point Reyes Lighthouse, which offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and is a prime spot for whale watching during migration seasons. Alamere Falls, a rare coastal waterfall that flows directly into the ocean, is also relatively close to North Beach and is a popular hiking destination, but it is NO soft adventure at 14 miles round trip. And the Cypress Tree Tunnel is an absolute must at sunrise!
