The Shealor Lake Trail is a 1.5-mile each way trail in the Eldorado National Forest that offers stunning views along a rocky ridge. The trail starts with a gradual climb to the top of the ridge before descending to picturesque Shealor Lake. It's a great spot for a hike with beautiful scenery to enjoy along the way. So, grab your hiking boots and camera, and get ready for a peaceful outdoor adventure at Shealor Lake Trail Head!

If you hike during the winter, plan for snow, and expect the descent down to the lake to be a bit more of a moderate hike. We'd also recommend having hiking poles.

Pet-friendly: Yes, but must be leashed and picked up after

Soft adventure: Yes! But depending on weather conditions, it could be a bit more of a moderate adventure.

Seasonality: Technically all seasons, but the roads often close or require chains during the winter.
