Message from Ryan & Katy Smilko

Greetings from San Diego! Recently, local artists Victor Ving and Lisa Beggs completed a large mural in North Park. Connecting with the local community to find inspiration for the artwork, they asked locals what images should be featured within the letters of the mural. The mural includes a tribute to the skate culture and a dedication to Chicano culture- with Persue, a well known San Diego grafitti artist, incorporating his iconic "Bunny Kitty" character into the "I" of the mural. To celebrate the completion, the San Diego Ballet came out for an impromptu photo shoot. It's been a positive destination spot for the neighborhood ever since, with tourists and locals alike stopping to take pictures of the art. Official museum quality prints of the mural are now available in their online shop.
