The Arch Rock Trail is a short 0.5 mile round-trip, popular, and easily accessible hiking trail located in Joshua Tree National Park, California. This trail is known for its stunning desert scenery and the opportunity to view a natural rock arch formation. The Arch Rock Trail is located in the western part of Joshua Tree National Park, near the White Tank Campground and is accessible via Park Boulevard, which is one of the main roads in the park.
The trail's highlight is Arch Rock, a naturally formed rock arch that you can walk through. The arch is a unique geological feature created by erosion and the weathering of the granite rocks that dominate the landscape of Joshua Tree National Park. Along the trail, you'll encounter typical Joshua Tree desert scenery, including bizarrely shaped Joshua Trees, boulders, and rocky outcrops. The view of the surrounding landscape from the arch is especially striking, particularly during sunrise or sunset.
