Lassen Volcanic National Park, located in Northern California, is a geological wonderland showcasing all four types of volcanoes: shield, composite, cinder cone, and plug dome. Dominated by Lassen Peak, one of the world’s largest plug dome volcanoes, the park is a living laboratory of geothermal activity, with bubbling mud pots, steaming fumaroles, and hot springs. Beyond its volcanic features, the park offers pristine alpine lakes, wildflower-filled meadows, and dense forests teeming with wildlife. Visitors can enjoy activities such as hiking, camping, kayaking, and snowshoeing, with highlights like the Bumpass Hell geothermal area and the scenic drive along the park highway. A lesser-known gem, Lassen provides a serene escape into nature’s dynamic forces and beauty.

We have a number of hiking trails and activities to explore in this park, so make sure to take a look at our map, and for more in depth info on the parks, check out our website linked below.
