Hello! I'm Paola and I was born in the beautiful and cosmopolitan city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I got my Bachelor's degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Escuela Superior de Hoteleria in 1994. After graduation, I started working as a concierge at some of the finest establishments in the world such as the Caesar Park Hotel, Sheraton Hotel and Convention Center, Aspen Towers Hotel, the Relais and Chateux French restaurant, La Bourgogne, and the distinguished Alvear Palace Hotel, member of The Leading Hotels of the World. My 10 year martial arts training took me to Okinawa, Japan where I spent several months with my karate group training at the top Dojos and getting acclimated with Japanese culture and cuisine, visiting temples, Sensei's houses, military bases, and coastal towns. With this fantastic experience on my life resume, my dreams took me to Chicago in 1997 where I started working almost immediately as a concierge at the luxury brand of Marriott International, the Renaissance Chicago Hotel. I worked there for many years assisting guests while, at the same time, continuing my education at Roosevelt University obtaining my Master's degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management in 2008. During my career, I successfully developed an extensive portfolio of privileged connections and contacts that afforded me the delivery of high-quality service. My experience and understanding of the tourism and hospitality industry, entrepreneurial commitment and dedication to quality and excellence were the impulse to launching a high-end concierge and lifestyle service in Chicago, Nexo Chicago Concierge+Lifestyle. I was fortunate to have hosted several VIPs and celebrities showing them around the city of Chicago and organizing their trip from pick up at the airport, hotel accommodations, dining reservations, transportation, tours and itineraries. At the same time, I also founded Nexo Chicago Tours, giving walking tours to visitors and locals alike through the art, history, architecture and cuisine of the Windy City. I enjoyed giving English and Spanish language walking tours for many years collaborating with the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau and several other Chicago cultural institutions as well. However, my traveling spirit took me once again to explore new territories and brought me to always sunny Miami Beach. It was here in Miami that I launched SoBeach Tours. The company has been successful from the beginning filling a niche demand for small-group, exclusive and professional walking tours of the Miami Art Deco Historic District and the South Beach area. SoBeach Tours is devoted to supporting and enhancing the lives of visitors with personalized service, quality, the utmost level of professionalism with dedicated guides with advanced degrees in the tourism industry. I also volunteer as a guide for Open House Miami Architectural Festival, the Miami Design Preservation League and collaborate with several renowned businesses and publications such as Time Out Miami, Miami Convention and Tourism Bureau, Mastercard Priceless, Sandeman's New Europe and Marriott Bonvoy, among others.
