Crumlin Glen is a picturesque woodland located in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It is situated near the village of Crumlin, 20 miles west of Belfast. Crumlin Glen is known for its stunning waterfall, which cascades down a rocky gorge and creates a serene and peaceful environment.

The glen is home to a diverse range of plant and animal species, making it a haven for wildlife. On the trails you may spot woodland creatures such as squirrels, rabbits, and various bird species.

There are several walking trails in Crumlin Glen. The trails wind through the woodland, following the course of the river and offering scenic views of the surrounding countryside.

The route?

Follow the path at the park over a footbridge and uphill turning left, pass through some beautiful woods, and then you take a left , following the sign to Cockle House. Then, continue down to the riverbank and follow the path along its side. You soon reach a footbridge over the river to your left. Cross it and follow the path leading away from the river. Leading to the Cidercourt Road. Turn right to join a public right of way to Main Street. Turn left onto Main Street and then left again onto Mill Road, proceeding back to the starting point.

Crumlin Glen also has picnic areas and benches scattered throughout, providing opportunities for you to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. The glen is a great spot for photography.

Crumlin Glen has a rich history, with evidence of human activity dating back thousands of years. There are remnants of old mills and industrial structures that once operated in the area. Interpretive panels along the trails provide information about the history and heritage of the glen, adding an educational element to your visit.
