Shen'ao Elephant Trunk Rock, located in Ruifang District, New Taipei City, used to be a popular spot for kayakers, snorkelers, and Instagrammers. This rock formation, shaped like an elephant's trunk, was a recognizable landmark on the north coast of Taiwan. However, sadly, it eroded away and fell into the sea in December 2023. So, while you can still visit the area for its beautiful views, the iconic elephant trunk is no longer there. Bummer, right? But hey, there are still plenty of other interesting rock formations to check out in the area!
