Escultura Veado Surfista is a unique and iconic monument nestled in the Portuguese town of Nazaré. Created by Portuguese sculptor Adália Alberto, the statue celebrates the legend of Nazaré and the town’s status as one of the world’s most revered surfing destinations. The magnificent piece, aptly named Veado, displays an oversized deer head symbolizing Dom Fuas Roupinho's saved life, alongside an ocean wave representing the town’s legendary surfing spot. The grandiose statue stands watch over the Praia do Norte beach, honoring both the ancient legends and world record breaking feats of surfers that are drawn to the area each year.
