Located in the municipality of Ponta Delgada, São Miguel Island, Azores archipelago, Canário Lagoa is synonymous with beauty, tranquility and peace.
This tourist attraction is part of the Forest Park of Mata do Canário, with endemic flora typical of Macaronesia and one of the most fascinating landscapes on the island.
The Canary Lagoon is 800 meters above sea level and its access is quite easy. If you want to take the route on foot, you can leave the car outside the Park where the Lagoon is inserted.
The journey through the middle of the vegetation gives you a feeling of calm, given the precious nature, full of trees, plants and flowers. There is also the option of making the journey by car, if you prefer, having to park in the park next to the lagoon and access it on foot. At the end of the route, the surprise is gratifying, because the view of the Canário Lagoon is incredible and unique.
In the park there is also space and areas for meals, with tables, chairs and barbecue area. The place allows the visit of people of any age and with reduced mobility, so it becomes a great option to share leisure time with family and friends.
