Day 1 - "Retro, Bidges, Shrines"
We could not recommend FAV LUX East enough (slightly better than FAV LUX West, which we also stayed at). Location is great. Even has a private onsen room for rent. Big family room. Restaurant attached. Fantastic.
From there, take a walk to the fantastic Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine. You might walk by sights listed on other days in this itinerary, and that's fine. Mix and match how you please. You'll assuredly criss cross along all the bridges in this town at some point.
End with the retro museum, which I'm a sucker for. The kids will love it.
