One of the local soba spots and the menu as in Japanese meaning it is quite authentic. The noodles are served in these adorable little bundles that make it easy to savor every bite, and the tempura? Absolutely top-notch—crispy, light, and perfectly paired with the soba. For a few hundred yen extra, you can upgrade to 1.5x the noodles, which I’d highly recommend because you’ll definitely want more.

The place gets busy, and for good reason—it’s really popular. If you don’t want to end up waiting in line, try to visit early. Another highlight is the stunning view from the restaurant; you can enjoy your meal while soaking in the beautiful mountain scenery. They also have a small selection of souvenirs, so you can take a piece of the experience home with you.

Whether you’re refueling after hiking nearby trails or exploring the serene Kagami Lake, this spot hits the mark.

The vibe is relaxed, with a charming wooden interior that feels like a warm mountain retreat. The staff are friendly, the prices are reasonable, and the food is unforgettable. If you’re looking for a satisfying meal with a side of nature, Sobanomi is a must-visit.
