Yamanakako Hirano Onsen Ishiwari-no-Yu is a traditional hot spring facility near Lake Yamanakako, renowned for its high-alkaline waters and serene atmosphere.
Access:
By Car: From the Chuo Expressway, exit at Kawaguchiko Interchange and follow Route 138 towards Lake Yamanakako. Turn onto Route 413 (Doushi-michi) and continue around the lakeside to reach the onsen.
By Public Transport: From Fujisan Station, take a bus bound for Lake Yamanakako and alight at the Hirano bus stop. The onsen is approximately a 15-minute walk from there.
Opening Hours:
Weekdays: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Last entry at 6:15 PM).
Weekends & Public Holidays: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM (Last entry at 7:15 PM).
Closed on Thursdays: Except during public holidays, Golden Week, July, August, and New Year's holidays.
Admission Fees:
¥900 (includes bathing tax).
Facilities:
Indoor and outdoor baths, including rock and hinoki (Japanese cypress) tubs.
Sauna.
Rest areas and a small eatery offering local dishes.
Additional Information:
The onsen's water has a pH level of 10.2, making it one of Japan's highest alkaline hot springs, reputed to benefit the skin.
