Located in Yoko-o, where the Yari and Yoko-o valleys converge to form the Azusa River, this hut is a key rest stop for hikers heading toward Mt. Yari-gatake and the Hodaka mountain range. From here, the trail transitions into a more rigorous mountain path. Staying at Yoko-o before beginning the climb to Mt. Yari-gatake offers hikers extra time to prepare for the ascent.
The hut, renovated in 2008, features a welcoming, woody interior and stunning views of the Hotaka mountains from the second-floor rooms.
