The Moalboal Sardine Run in Cebu is one of the best nature phenomenons that we have ever witnessed. You can swim with thousands of sardines very close to shore so it is suitable for beginners and experts alike. Before you do anything in Moalboal, pay the mandatory environmental fee and keep the receipt with you at all times.

To get the best out of the sardine run, bring your own gear with you or rent gear at the many local shops /accommodations. Start about 8::30AM from your accommodation and drive/walk to this point 9°57'09.9"N 123°21'58.1"E. Many locals will try to wave you down to park in their building for a fee. Don't do that, instead drive to the coordinates and park your scooter on the left hand side, just before the beach on the left. You can then enter the water and swim out to where the reef edge is and you will be greated with thousands of sardines! When you enter the water, swim a little bit towards the right and you will also find an underwater statue. If you can'f find it. ask a local. Then just float down the beach back towards town and you will see thousands of sardines. Don't forget to bring your underwater camera!
