The Peralada Castle, a historic landmark in the Empordà region, has been producing wine since the Middle Ages. Purchased in 1923 by Miguel Mateu Pla, the castle now combines tradition with modern winemaking techniques to create exceptional wines and cavas. With its impressive towers and picturesque setting, the castle is not only a symbol of the Perelada brand but also a treasure trove of art and culture, housing collections of sculptures, paintings, and a library with rare manuscripts. A visit to Castillo de Peralada offers a glimpse into the rich history and winemaking heritage of the area.
