Sortovaara kota is one of my favorite places around Rovaniemi. It is located approximately 21 km northeast of the center of Rovaniemi, in the camping area of ​​the Arctic Circle.

The camping area of ​​the Arctic Circle is a wilderness natural destination suitable for year-round camping. The special features of the landscape are the barren perepohja dangers, the shoreless and watery monkey swamps, and the Raudanjoki with its handsome rapids and lush riparian forests. The camping area has a versatile route with rest stops, which offers good camping destinations and opportunities for people of all ages. Thanks to its location, it is easy to come to the area in all seasons.
