Äkäsmylly is a 23.9-mile out-and-back trail in Lapland, Finland, known for its challenging terrain and beautiful scenery. The route takes you from Äkäslompolo to Äkäsmylly, where skiers traditionally used to grind flour before heading back for some "porridge dances." While the old dance spot may be closed, the Myllyhiihto tradition lives on, with a special bus shuttle available starting from week 8. So, if you're up for a long ski adventure with a touch of history and tradition, Äkäsmylly might just be the perfect trail for you!
