Pieni Karhunkierros is popular for a reason. A clear and well-traveled route does not require camping skills or experience, but rather basic fitness, tasty snacks and a charged camera battery.

Can you get a similar coverage of natural attractions anywhere else in Finland on a similar trip; rapids, backwaters, raven forest, canyons and a waterfall?

The Pieni Karhunkierros Circle Trail in Oulanka National Park is a popular 12 km hiking route known for its stunning scenery, including gushing rapids, steep cliffs, and lush forests. Hikers can enjoy crossing a large river on a hanging bridge, passing by campfire spots and huts, and marveling at the beautiful Jyrävä waterfall in a canyon setting. With green paint signs marking the trail, this challenging yet rewarding hike offers plenty of opportunities to take in the natural beauty and even spend a night in an open wilderness hut along the way.
