Seljavallalaug is one of the oldest geothermal hot springs in Iceland, offering stunning views of natural landscapes and majestic mountains. Those visiting can enjoy the 20 to 30oC lukewarm water all year round, whether braving the cold of winter or the warmer waters of summer. This outdoor swimming pool was built in 1932 by locals who wanted to provide a place to swim without having to traipse into town - a journey that proved quite treacherous! Hike through the fields of lava ash (rocky riverbeds!), dodge little streams running from the valley, and take in an awe-inspiring view. Once you arrive at the pool, kick off your shoes, soak in the natural beauty, and relax in the realms of nature.
