Iceland is the home of unique geothermal swimming pools. Here is my handpicked list for the best spas, hot springs, and geothermal pools
Bathing in Iceland‘s healing hot water is a unique and rejuvenating experience. It is a great way to experience the island‘s magnificent nature without tiring yourself out. Below you can find and book my favorite icelandic spa‘s:
Blue Lagoon Iceland
Blue Lagoon hardly needs an introduction. Even though it's quite a touristy place with large crowds it's still a super nice experience. The blue, silica rich water is perfectly tempered and very soft on the skin. Make sure to book your entry in advance as the blue lagoon often is sold out in peak season.
Sky Lagoon
Sky Lagoon is a brand new spa in Reykjavik. Built next to the ocean the best time to visit is sunset and see the sun set into to ocean. Don't miss out on their amazing sauna.
Vök Baths
Vök baths is a pearl in the East and a fantastic spa. In winter they usually carve up a hole in the ice so you can swim in the frozen lake and then go back into the hot pool.
Geosea - Geothermal Sea Baths
Hands down the best infinity pool of Iceland. With a view over the fjords you can sometimes see whales from up here.
Mývatn Nature Baths
This is the blue lagoon of the North. It's a bit smaller than the one outside Reykjavik but the experience is very much the same. Well worth a visit!
