Landeyjahöfn is a ferry port along the south coast of Iceland, perfect for visitors hoping to explore the popular Westman Islands.

The ferry ride is about 40 minutes each way and departure times vary throughout the seasons but the ferry does run year-round. You may board the ferry on foot and explore Vestmannaeyjabær on foot or, book a ticket to drive onto the ferry and have the comfort of your vehicle upon arrival to the island. The ferry does not stop at the smaller islands but you can get some cool photos of the islands on your way there and back.

You do not have to book tickets in advance but it can be helpful and a time saver. Beware that booking ferry tickets in early August can be challenging because of Iceland's annual multi-day music festival on the island.

**You must arrive at the ferry terminal no later than 30 minutes PRIOR to your scheduled departure.
