Tjarnargígur Crater Park is a hidden gem in the Icelandic Highland, formed during the 1783-1784 Skaftáreldar eruption. This picturesque crater boasts a stunning turquoise pond at its center, surrounded by lava fields and moss-covered terrain.
You need a 4x4 to get here and there's a few river crossings along the way in.
