For those, who are more on a budget and prefer some more remote than Mt Rigi, this might be the place. For sure its one of my favorites, since the views of the Vierwaldstätter Lake are unbeatable. In winter you can also do amazing snowshoe trips. How to get there: Take the cable car from Emmetten up to Niederbauen. From there you have manz trails you can use as a regular hiking path or with snowshoes if you wanna go more off the path. The views are breathtaking along the way. You can see Mt Rigi on the other side of the lake. Costs: Return ticket is 22chf and there is no discount fare.
