Banacado Café is a café located in the lively area of Vasastan, Stockholm, Sweden. ASKA has transformed the 70m2 cafe into a vibrant dreamscape, creating an exotic atmosphere. Design elements such as the idiom of shelves, arches and painted checkerboard floor are inspired by the aesthetics of Cuba. Upon entering the space, one is enveloped by a pale yellow light, reminiscent of an old movie, further enhanced by subtle vintage details such as the LP-player and polaroid wall. ASKA also designed a series of handblown lamps to add a playful touch to the environment, along with impressionist art pieces by painter Carl Palmé to highlight its poetic tone. Banacado stands out for its ambition to strive towards a bold, international look with form-cut mirrors, tiles, terrazzo and stainless steel. A fusion of design elements makes it perfect for anyone looking to "breakfast all day".
