Highway 151 is a hidden gem, especially in the fall. The road starts in Candler and goes all the way up to the Parkway.

It is often overlooked since there aren't a ton of trails off of it, but I highly recommend doing the drive if you can. It's a great alternative to getting up to the parkway and I've gotten some of my favorite photographs here. The colors always POP on this road and it's lower elevation than the parkway so it turns later in the fall season.

There are also a few dispersed camping sights on this road that are just pull offs big enough to comfortably fit one car. If you're looking for a place to car camp and don't want to be on the parkway, this is a great option.
