Hike
One of my all time favorite swimming spots I've ever found. This swimming hole is DEEP. I couldn't touch the ground at any point, even after jumping in from a decent height.
I accidentally found this spot while I was attempting the entire loop. Ollie, my dog, was lagging because it was so hot out so I kept staying left on the trail to stay next to the water.
After about a mile exactly, we stumbled upon this beautiful spot. I didn't have it alone originally but was able to experience it by myself for about 20 minutes before someone else showed up.
This is a busy location on the weekends (most of Brevard is) so if that's when you go, make sure to keep this in mind. There is a decent amount of parking for this hike, but if there isn't any DO NOT PARK on the dirt road. It makes it extremely difficult for anyone attempting to drive that road to maneuver and you risk receiving a fine from the park service.
To get to this exact spot, cross the first bridge and split left at the sign (away from Daniel Ridge Falls). Follow the trail until another split and keep left again. There are numerous smaller swimming holes along the way to this spot so ample opportunities to cool off.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE clean up after yourself and make sure this spot is cleaner than you found it. Also, keep an eye out for snakes!
