This is a challenging hike with a lot of elevation gain but almost 360 degree views at the top. There is a decent sized parking lot, but I'd recommend starting in the morning especially during the summer to avoid the heat and guarantee a parking spot. There are tons of spots to camp along this trail as well.

Make sure to bring a bunch of water or a way to filter it (there is access to a stream for the majority of the hike). I chose to filter to decrease the weight on my back. I did the hike by taking the trail on the left on the way up and the way down. You can do the full loop but it cut off a little bit of mileage for me which was a relief since this is a tough one!

If I was to do this one again I would spend the night at the top. There's a camp spot about .2 miles back from the lookout. It's well shielded from wind but perfectly primed for an amazing sunset/sunrise.
